Family Barn- Surfside Beach: A Southern Breakfast & Brunch Paradise

Have been here multiple times and always amazed with how good the food is, I get different items each time I come to try something new and I’m always impressed. Today I got some special a pumpkin latte and an apple pie waffle! Thank you Maryjo for friendly service and great attitude Hope to see you again :)

Family Barn is a great family place for dining. Jake, our server, gave us his undivided attention. Linda, the grandmother and proprietor of this great establishment, explained about how the Family Barn began. We appreciated her telling us the history behind it. Kaitlyn, another server, was also helpful and cheerful. Thanks for the most delicious breakfast and grand experience, Family Barn. We hope to visit you again when we come back to town.

We tried Family Barn for the first time recently. The online menus on their website weren't working and the ones posted on Google weren't up to date, so we ended up having to change our order on the fly based on what they actually had that day. Unfortunately they didn't mention everything they did have so we chose things that we wouldn't have otherwise. And they didn't add one thing we did request so it got left out of the order. The pork chops were good. Mac and cheese was just ok. The shrimp and grits were also good but with too much sauce,not enough grits. Check for the most recent menus - the ones that were online were OLD prices for some items. I took photos of the current menu.

If you love mimosas and breakfasts or brunch this is the place for you. Don’t be afraid of waiting because the staff is super friendly and fast in providing you with a table. The food is delicious and the service is great! They have a big selection of drinks and mimosas. Just give it a try and you won’t be disappointed

Holy Jesus this place needs to be advertised more. It is definitely the best kept secret in Myrtle Beach, and it's SOO affordable! Staff was super friendly, they literally cooked me a full breakfast in 5 mins or less... And it was heavenly. I can't explain to you in full depth how for 35 years of my life I've been doing everything wrong with $15 at waffle house and even $3 at mcdonalds; nothing beats Family Barn for $10. I will be eating here for about 25,608 more times in the rest of my life. My hats off to all the employees there and the owner. I will spread the word

Best restaurant of the week by far, great food for great prices. Our server and hostess were very nice and quick. No wait seated as soon as we arrived. To top it off atmosphere reminded me of the old Hen House restaurants back home. 10/10

Photos don’t do this restaurant justice! It’s a beautiful ambiance and vibe and the food was great. The service we had with Jake was great. I have food allergies and he took note and helped me navigate their extensive menu. I had two eggs, fresh fruit, toast, and bacon and it was all delicious. My daughter had a very large pancake and they were even able to add chocolate chips upon her request. If you’re in Myrtle Beach on vacation, this is a great breakfast stop.

The food was great - large portions and delicious. The service was very friendly and welcoming. Perfect breakfast/brunch stop in Myrtle Beach. The just a small warning - the coffee is thick, so if you like your coffee strong you'll love it!
